We are a medical technology manufacturer from Villingendorf near Rottweil / Tuttlingen for instruments and accessories, especially for electrosurgery and arthroscopy.

Our company was founded in 1975 by master surgeon Werner Reger. Since Alexander Hetzel took over the company in 2004, we have gradually expanded our product portfolio. Today, REGER develops, produces and distributes with approx. 120 employees at four locations in Germany, the Czech Republic and Switzerland.

We are an efficient and internationally operating company with short decision-making processes, comprehensive service and a wide product range. Throughout the company, we place great emphasis on the safety and efficacy of our products to ensure the best possible patient care. Our portfolio also includes instruments tailored to specific applications, which are developed together with customers. For this purpose, we support customers with years of experience, our own experts and in-depth development and manufacturing know-how.

History

1975

Foundation of the company REGER

REGER was founded by the surgical mechanic expert Werner Reger. He was specialized in manufacturing monopolar electrodes according to customer requirements. Until his retirement, Mr. Werner Reger managed the company in Deilingen and manufactured medical products in a high quality craftsmanship manner.

2004

Acquisition by Mr. Alexander Hetzel

Alexander Hetzel acquired the company as successor of Mr. Reger. He continued the company in the spirit of the founder, developed existing manufacturing processes and expanded the product range.
In 2006 the company moved from Deilingen to the industrial area in Villingendorf.

2009

Expansion of the portfolio in injection moulding

The production of plastic-based medical products, preferably HF cables, HF handles, was integrated into the company with the acquisition of Med Contact. REGER now operates as a system supplier in the field of "accessories for electrosurgery" and thus completed the product range.

2012

Positiv company development

The development of national and international markets brought REGER Medical Technology a positive business development over many years and was followed by an increase in personnel, machinery and storage facilities. The industrial complex of the commercial area will always fulfill future requirements.

2016

Innovation and a growing group

As the company continued to grow, the range of products for the national and international market also expanded steadily. REGER now also manufactures high-precision and patented special instruments in series and thus makes an important contribution to the worldwide health care system.

2019

Shaver Blades in arthroscopic range

With the acquisition of DR Medical in Solothurn, Switzerland REGER complements its arthroscopic portfolio with a new product range: Shaver Blades and Burs. Highest engineering skills combined with Swiss premium quality - the combination of REGER and DR Medical shows high potential.

2020

Expanded production capacities

With further investments in new systems and machines at several locations, REGER is meeting the constantly increasing demands.

In addition to the expansion of capacities in the area of additive manufacturing (3D laser metal cusing) and plastic injection molding, a class 7 clean room was put into operation. REGER is thus optimally prepared for the further planned growth.

2022

Successul certification according to MDR

REGER is not only technically but also regulatory well positioned for the future. REGER meets the requirements of the new European Medical Device Directive (MDR) and thus remains a reliable partner in the future.

2023

FDA approval

In 2023, REGER successfully received FDA approval for its first product. This significant achievement marks a major milestone in the company's history.

Production Site in the Czech Republic

MEDEVO s.r.o. is the REGER Group's main production site in the Czech Republic with around 60 employees. Modern production technologies are used there to ensure the highest quality standards for the international market.
